Using chiral magnetic surface molecularly imprinted polymers for chiral separation of Ofloxacin

Ofloxacin is an important drug with anti-bacterial effects, and (–)-ofloxacin has been shown to have better activity than racemic ofloxacin. But the chiral resolution of compounds a major challenge worldwide. Many methods do not show high specificity target molecules, causing errors in separation these pharmaceutical thus affecting purity drugs. The paper mainly researches on method for quick ofloxacin using magnetic surface molecular imprinting polymers. Fe3O4 nanoparticles coated silica acted as substrate. Chiral reagent N-octyl-D-glucosamine monomer, template molecules prepare molecularly imprinted polymer. polymer can be combined ( +)-ofloxacin, eventually (-)-ofloxacin was isolated. Finally, by external field transmission electron microscopy, character tested, product tested ultraviolet spectrum optical rotation tests confirmed (-)-ofloxacin. A simple, rapid, cost-effective separating established.
